Apple Property Management strongly encourages all tenants to have Renters Insurance. If you need a recommendation we suggest Farmers Insurance. Download an insurance application form here.


Seasonal Notices
Fall is here and the leaves are beginning to pile up. If your lease agreement has yard service included, then look out for a letter or phone call from our vendor.

Please do not hire anyone for maintenance or repairs on your rental property without prior authorization from your property manager. You may be billed for any unauthorized repairs/maintenance you ordered.

Your Rights as a Tenant
APM values your rights as a Tenant and encourages all of its tenants to be familiar with Washington State RCW's pertaining to Landlord/tenant law. You can download the landlord/tenant handbook here .

We encourage our tenants to be familiar with the Fire Safety RCW's too. They can be located here.


Vacating and Giving Notice
APM Tenants wishing to vacate their current properties should ensure they give the correct amount of notice. Notice to vacate is due 20 days before the end of the month that the lease is scheduled to expire. This is true for month to month rental agreements too. If no new lease is signed by this deadline, tenant understands that this Lease Agreement is not being renewed and that tenant must vacate the premises by the last day of this Lease Agreement.  If Tenant remains in possession after the termination of this Lease Agreement, and no new lease has been signed, rent will not be accepted, eviction proceedings will be commenced, and Tenant/holdover may be responsible for Landlord’s damages as allowed by law.

Once we are in receipt of your notice to vacate we'll schedule your final inspection. You do not need to be present at this final inspection. If you would like to be there, call the office and we will try to coordinate the final inspection with your request.

Cleaning: An itemized checklist of cleaning instructions can be found here.   This list details the cleaning we require tenant(s) to perform upon vacating. We also require repair of minor damage to any walls from picture holes, you must use the best grade of spackling possible.  Also you must use extreme care in your application of the spackling or you will be charged for any necessary correction.  Please let us know if you have any questions or if you would like to pay one of our contractors to do this repair for you.

Your carpets and window coverings must be professionally cleaned. We need a receipt as proof of payment for both the carpet cleaning and blind cleaning.

Carpet and unit cleaning must be completed before final inspection, unless prior arrangement has been made with your Property Manager.  Please also remember to properly dispose of all unwanted items from your refrigerator and to wash the interior with warm water afterwards.  Leave your refrigerator on when you vacate. Please do not leave garage containers filled with refuge from your move.  We will charge you to remove any excess garage or left over items.

Showings: We expect to show the property to prospective tenants upon receipt of your notice of intent to vacate; we will schedule the showing between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, 10:00am – 3:30 pm on Saturday and 11:00am – 3:30pm on Sunday.  We will call you and give you the required 24 hour notice before we schedule a showing.  If you will not be home during the showings we will make sure to lock up after we have finished the viewing.

Key Return: Please return all of your keys to Apple Property Management (and garage door openers if applicable), as we will not consider the property as officially vacated until we have received all of your keys.  If you need to return the keys after hours, please identify the keys with the address where you have just moved from and place the keys in the black 24 hour drop box to the right of the office front door.
